To live some days in the Amazon rainforest is no longer
synonymous of vigil, insecurity and risk. A natural reservation in Colombia,
Amacayacu has from some years ago, a tourist complex
willing to offer some stupendous vacations.
The Amacayacu Natural Park located in the province of Amazon in Colombia, is located to one hour and 45 minutes in boat from Leticia's amazon city.
Their extension is organized in such a way that the traveler knows the biodiversity, the culture of about 14 indigenous tribes and his Cosmo vision, and he will be able to practice adventure sports.

the Amacayacu Natural Park you''ll to arrive in boat. From any place

the sailing for the flow of the Amazon river.

The reception takes place in Yewae, the center of visitors managed in concession by Hotels Decameron and Aviatur where are the accommodation housings and the restaurant.
It is necessary to stand out that Yewae is a word of the language Ticuna that means “Mother of the waters".
The place has two accommodation types in malocas or cabins of native architecture. One with private bathroom and with capacity for maximum five people, and another in big living rooms where there are between 15 and 20 bunks or wooden beds with toldillo (a cover protector).
From there the daily activities are undertaken toward the gulches, the rainforest canopy and the indigenous tribes.
The climate is on the average of 27 centigrade degrees and in the nights
it is not cold. The travelers to say that the atmosphere is quite pleasant,
but is fundamental to apply repellent in the skin to avoid the night
mosquitoes.
"The
landscapes of the park are impressive, one feels too small among so
much nature", Carlos Mountain Eduardo said, after feeling
the majestic of the forest with their flora and his fauna.
In this amazon corner have over 500 species of birds, 11 species of garzas, four crocodile species, 150 of aquatic mammals as the manatí of the amazons, the "bufeo" and the river dolphin; and fishes that are the base of the feeding of the natives.
The 293 thousand 500 hectares of the park are composed by tropical humid forest, forests flooded, mainland forests, swamps, marshes, madre vieja (translated: old mother) and fluvial systems.
In each one them the vegetation is different, for example, in the humid lands capirón trees grow and it decreased, while in mainland there are red, white and mahogany cedar, ceiba and uvo, to conform the rainforest canopy of 30 and 40 meters high.
Among the recognized animals in the area it is necessary to mention the tití leoncito (smaller primate of the world), the guacamaya, the morrocoy jabuti, the turtle of sweet water, the jaguar, the rosy dolphin, the danta, the otter, the black cayman, boas, anacondas, corals and fish like the pirarucú and the pirañas.

The plans of Amacayacu travel to the Natural Park are from 2 to 7 days,
with costs between 300 and 800 dollars ($600 thousand and $1 million
500 thousand Colombian pesos) for person that vary according to the
season. These values include air tickets air going and return, fluvial
transfer, adventure activities, lodging and feeding, from the interior
of Colombia.
