Usually Jamaicans are very hospitable, but not following some of their normal behavior could lead in a misunderstanding.
Jamaica is the place where the reggae was invented, in the city of Kingston. In this place, there is the museum of Bob Marley, the National Gallery, the house of Devon, build in 1800 by the first Afro-American millionaire. There is also the Botanic Garden, called Hope, a paradise in the center of the city, and the famous Port Royal, neighborhood of the pirates in the XVIII century.
At the north of the island you can find Montego Bay, a place with beautiful beaches, coral reefs and bright aquamarine lagoons. In this part of town, one of the most unmissed places are The Bob Marley Experience, a tribute to the famous Jamaican singer, and Croydon in the Mountains, a plantation where a slave that after became a hero, was born. The most famous beach in the island is Doctor’s Cave Beach, founded by a group of doctors. Also a couple of places you must go to are Rose Hall and Falmouth.
Negril, was founded by hippies, so it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beaches and the sunsets, and at night, have fun at the bars and restaurants. The most important attractions are the lighthouse, the horse riding at Rose Hall Plantation and Seven Mile Beach.
Another place to visit in Jamaica is the port city of Ocho Ríos.
