According to a government statement, Mexico remains among top 10 countries of the World Tourism Organization in visitor arrivals.
The Ministry of Tourism reported that from January 2007 to September 2012, Mexico received 130.6 million international tourists, up 12.1 percent from the same period of the previous administration. The flow of tourists in hospital recorded an increase of 18.3 percent to 75.5 million people posting against the 63.8 million registered January 2001 to September 2006.
Regarding foreign exchange earnings by international visitors, these totaled 71 thousand 027 million dollars, which represented an increase of 22.1 percent, compared to 58 000 raised $ 163 million in the same period of the previous administration .
During September the tourism flow admission showed an increase of 6.2 percent over the same month last year. Regarding earnings from international visitors increased from $ 678 million in 2011 to $ 748 million in September 2012, which represented an increase of 10.3 percent.
International visitors increased their average spending by 6.8 percent, 8.0 percent international tourism. According to the Integrated System for Migration Operations from January to September saw an increase in visitor numbers of 137 nationalities.
According to data recorded by Airports and Auxiliary Services arriving passengers on domestic flights increased 10.3 percent during January-September 2012 compared with the same period a year ago. While there was an overflow of 5.4 percent in the arrival of passengers on international flights compared to January-September 2011.
From January to September 2012 the number of domestic tourists amounted to 133.2 million, 6.0 percent more than the same period of 2011.
