So says a survey that also highlights the tourist reception in cities like Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Mexico.

Lima was rated as the fourth city in Latin America where tourists spend more money, according to a Mastercard survey of 2012. The research was conducted in 132 cities indicates that “is expected to increase in the number of international tourists in a total of 16.6 million tourists in 2012,” Emol newspaper.

The list of positions is led by Buenos Aires (Argentina), followed by Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Mexico City (Mexico). In recent posts are shown Caracas (Venezuela) and Quito (Ecuador).

The author of the study by MasterCard Worldwide, Yuwa Hedrick-Wong said that despite the global economic crisis, “the Index this year projected that the world has attractive places with strong growth in terms of international tourist arrivals and disbursements. ”

He highlighted the importance of Latin American cities to promote global trade through tourism.
