The Pantanal

Pantanal. Brazil The Farm Baia Grande was bought in April of 1994 and works with the slaughter cattle only, the Farm opened its portieres for the agricultural and ecological tourism in July of 2001. We are dedicated to the preservation of the environment and the local culture. The Farm is inserted in the program “The Farms of Brazil”, which is an european group of rural tourism having headquarters in Portugal, always aiming at well-being among its employees and customers with the nature. The Farm has partnerships, such as: the CRAS - Center of Rehabilitation of the Wild Animals, which is associated with the ABRATURR-MS – Brazilian Association of Agricultural Tourism of the Mato Grosso do Sul and with the Agricultural Association of the Vale do Rio Miranda.

El Pantanal Mato Grossense it was recognized by the UNESCO like one of the most exuberant and diversified natural reservations in the planet; integrating the wealth of the humanity's patrimonies. Located in South America; it has the biggest continuous humid extension in the planet. In the region hidrográfica, the Marshland makes part of the basin of the river Paraguay, constituted in an immense plain of flooded areas.

Earth of a red ocher, a penetrating green bottle, endless marshes, that it is the decoration. This extensive flooded plain, declared world patrimony, it doesn't request another thing that to reveal their extraordinary biodiversity. With their false African airs, it is a true explosion of colors, screams and wings that it waits him, an unique animal Kingdom in the world, within reach of the hand. You grieve you have interned to Marshland for one of the strange upward roads without paving, it welcomes him and it invites it to their domains the clumsy Jabiru (from their height of a meter and hooded of black); it is the symbol of Marshland. This bird so big is not more than a formidable specimen among a multitude of species that they inhabit this region happily where any human activity doesn't exist!
